Watch out for the Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia if you're planning to or driving through the region! These are an amazing spectacle! The Lakes are truly beautiful and visitors are allowed to walk on wooden pathways over and through these divine pools of water. Unfortunately for the individual bathing is not allowed, fortunately for the all of us as the waters are as clear as the Himalayan air. Another 'con' to the park is its overdevelopment.

Halkidiki Peninsula offered us a straight 5 hours of voluntary off-roading and an industrial dose of greek coffee. The peninsula is easily accessible through a main road and is pupulated by dirt roads and plenty of small, dirty beaches. Apart from this gem of a beach:
On our second day in Albania we stumbled upon a gorgeous beach with glistening white marble sand and water so blue we thought it wasn't true. We pulled in and parked. A few yards away we found we were good company of fully rigged LR Defender 110 and gorgeous UniMog (might be able to see them far left in the following photo). Our faithful and unprepared Galloper frowned, and we ogled their vehicles.
