All day Alberto has been discreetly saying he doesn't feel very well. Not surprising since he slept in his underpants and woke up shaking like a maracas on the night of day 1 and driving all day and through the night yesterday.
We got to the Plitvice National Park and tried to find camp in the woods; failing and getting chased for a couple miles by a nasty looking dog. so we found a parking lot and caught some Z's until armed guards suggested we move somewhere else, so we did, to another parking lot. Terrible night. We visited the lakes today which are absolutely stunning. Fortunately and unfortunately bathing isn't allowed, you may only follow selected trails, use ferries and only one store which sold food and drinks at the end of the trails. You can immagine the line...
That done we went looking for a camping spot for the night and found one in the middle of the woods. Alberto stepped out of the car an pretty much passed out the second he lied down, he wasn't kidding. Coffee and a couple ibuprofen pills picked him up again. Having set up camp we tucked in for a cold night ahead.
